Teenage Burnout and Low Demand Parenting
People have been asking me for courses for (rather than about) teenagers for a long time, and it’s been something I have been thinking about a lot. It’s something I didn’t want to get wrong because I know how patronising some of the content for young people can be. But I have now bitten the bullet and we have made our first recorded mini-course aimed directly at teenagers. It’s divided into short modules, and it features Chloe from @MeJustMe who is herself 16. To celebrate the launch, it is half price until Sunday. You’ll have access for 6 months. It is similar content to the Burnt Out By School webinar for parents, but aimed directly at teens.
I am also starting a new cycle of the Art of Low Demand Parenting webinars with Eliza Fricker. These webinars combined my psychological knowledge with Eliza’s illustrations and expertise and have proved extremely popular. We are now writing a book based on the webinar series which should be out later this year.
The first webinar is called ‘Activate Your (Low Demand Parenting)’ and it sets out the ground work - why might a child need low demand parenting, what does it really mean and how do you start? We try to keep these as affordable as we can so they are accessible to as many parents as possible. Our style is informal and chatty so this version will be slightly different to what we did last year. Please do let any parents know who might benefit from it.
