This rings so true. Between my sister and me, we have 4 autistic children. They are all so different from each other in the ways in which they thrive and struggle. Even between the sibling pairs, there are enough differences that each kiddo will have their own unique experience of being ND in the world.

Yes!!! For me, masking is something I do rarely, but when I mask, it’s to help people understand me, not to hide my true nature. A little bit like learning how to say a few phrases in French, and learning how to behave in French culture, before travelling to France. I want to interact with people, so I learn their language… that’s about it.
